Upside Down in the Dark relates the tale of a young English boy born in the shadow of the Great War who ultimately embarks on his own battles as a Royal Navy pilot serving in several theatres of World War II.

His life’s journey takes him safely through this conflict to a rewarding career in civil engineering, marriage, a family and ultimately a new life in the southern hemisphere, firstly in New Zealand and finally to the place he now calls home, Western Australia.
